The typical problems of the constant teacher training process and the need of a didactic change, based on inquiry, self assessment and reflection on teaching are analyzed. Some strategies are mentioned in order to favor said change. Se parte de una mirada a algunas de los propósitos actuales en Enseñanza de las Ciencias. Se señalan distintas tentativas de transformar la enseñanza de las ciencias y se enumeran posibles obstáculos para la propagación de las mismas en el sistema. Se vuelve entonces la mirada a los problemas propios de la formación docente continua y a la necesidad de un cambio didáctico, basado en la indagación, autoevaluación y refl exión de la propia práctica. Se enuncian algunas estrategias para favorecer dicho cambio.
