Different attempts to transform the teaching of sciences are pointed out and possible obstacles for science propagation in the system are enumerated. The typical problems of the constant teacher training process and the need of a didactic change, based on inquiry, self assessment and reflection on teaching are analyzed. Some strategies are mentioned in order to favor said change. Se parte de una mirada a algunas de los propósitos actuales en Enseñanza de las Ciencias. Se señalan distintas tentativas de transformar la enseñanza de las ciencias y se enumeran posibles obstáculos para la propagación de las mismas en el sistema. Se vuelve entonces la mirada a los problemas propios de la formación docente continua y a la necesidad de un cambio didáctico, basado en la indagación, autoevaluación y refl exión de la propia práctica. Se enuncian algunas estrategias para favorecer dicho cambio.
