Sumario:The design of a didactic proposal aimed at high school students, with the objective of introducing some basic ideas in the framework of the teaching of the theories that explain the origin of life diversity is raised. An approach to the ideas of homology and analogy is presented in this specific sequence of work. For this, the identification of similarities and differences in a group of organisms with the aim of classifying them recognizing the used criteria is programmed. The debate and the confrontation of ideas make reflection, argumentation and meaning construction viable. Introducing these concepts gives place to a better understanding of the biological classifications and their relation with the evolutionary history
