In this practical work, the students ask a question related to the respiratory activity of different organisms in several environmental conditions. Then, they answer the question, following the steps of the scientific method and using a technique that measures the CO2 production in closed systems. This is an integrating and interdisciplinary proposal that promotes the active participation of students in the teaching-learning process. Se describe el trabajo práctico de respiración celular utilizado en la materia Biología General, de primer año de las Carreras de Profesorado y Licenciatura en Ciencias Biológicas del Centro Regional Universitario Bariloche de la Universidad Nacional del Comahue. En este trabajo práctico los alumnos formulan una pregunta relacionada con la actividad respiratoria de distintos organismos en diversas condiciones ambientales. Luego contestan la pregunta, siguiendo los pasos del método científico y usando una técnica que mide la producción de CO2 en sistemas cerrados. Esta es una propuesta integradora e interdisciplinaria que incentiva la participación activa de los alumnos en el proceso enseñanza-aprendizaje.
