The data was obtained from   workshops carried out at each educational establishment of the area of study, and through the implementation of notebooks, with which the students worked in the classroom and took to their homes to be completed with their family. This information, together with the specific compilation, contributed to the   analysis of the present state of the native fauna in the area of influence of the National Park and the San   Guillermo Biosphere Reserve. Los objetivos de este trabajo estuvieron relacionados con el rescate de saberes populares, la visión de los   pobladores locales, la denominación vernácula de los representantes faunísticos, los diferentes tipos de   usos que dieron y dan a la fauna nativa y la determinación de su situación de conservación. El registro de   datos se tomó en talleres educativos en cada establecimiento del área de estudio y a través de la implementación de cartillas didácticas, trabajadas en el aula y llevadas por los alumnos a sus hogares para ser   completadas con su núcleo familiar. Esta información sumada a los relevamientos específicos, aportó al   análisis del estado actual de la fauna nativa en el área de influencia del Parque Nacional y la Reserva de   Biósfera San Guillermo.
