Sumario:Based on the complexity of 20th century art, the beginning of this research has been to study the intersections of languages in the field of visual arts, especially the development of visual poetry and its transformations. Within the experimental practices that took place in the second half of the century, especially from the 1960s onwards, Argentinian artists added resources and procedures that went from joining word and image to incorporating objects, actions, sounds, videos and the use of new digital technologies. On the other hand, studies record the origin of sound art as a recent fact. In this investigation, both practices are related and the incorporation of sound in visual poetry is taken as an antecedent of sound art, being part of a hybridization process typical of contemporary art, which includes both.
