I10-R310-article-455052025-03-28T18:10:02Z Nativa: Explorations about contemporary artistic practices in Patagonia and Artist´s Book Nativa: Exploraciones sobre prácticas artísticas contemporáneas en Patagonia y el libro de artista Fasanelli, Ornella Patagonia territorio Libro-Arte identidad diversidad Patagonia Territory Art-Book identity diversity In the midst of the discussion around the construction of the Patagonian identity from a foreign perspective, 'Nativa' suggests the review of categories that take part of the collective imaginary associated with the territory, such as the desert, the emptiness and the monotony. Through a publication that puts tension on the practices of artist's book and art magazine, this project seeks to expand the boundaries of the disciplinary and the material and conceptual possibilities of these genres. By working together with local artists, 'Nativa' is presented as a creative and collaborative platform that brings together knowledge from different areas such as archival practices, visual expression, editorial design and cultural management. In the rupture of the frontier and the action of overflow, the margin becomes significant as a zone of pronunciation and resistance to the idea of Patagonia as a desert and a monotonous land, despite imaginary distances through a publication that exhibits and puts into dialogue contemporary artistic practices that address the concept of territory. In the midst of the discussion around the construction of the Patagonian identity from a foreign perspective, 'Nativa' suggests the review of categories that take part of the collective imaginary associated with the territory, such as the desert, the emptiness and the monotony.
