| Sumario: | In this work we attempt to analyze the performance El encierro, carried out in 1968 in Rosario by the artist born in Marcos Juárez and resident in Rosario Graciela Carnevale. Likewise, it is related to an artistic action carried out at the Antibienal of Córdoba in 1966, with a similar theme. The objectives of this research are focused on observing and comparing El encierro and La encerrona, their points of contact and differences within a very particular social and political moment in Argentina at that time. Jointly, the aim is to establish the connections between art and political action that implies a dematerialization of the work of art as an object to be contemplated as a rejection of the traditional institutions and circuits of circulation of those art works. In the same way, artistic performance is articulated as an expressive medium that involves the body and seeks to remove it from its numbness and provoke a reaction in the spectators. |
