| Sumario: | aking as its starting point, the debate reopened by the publication of César González's book, El fetishismo de la marginidad (2021),this work reflects on the different ways of representing the other, specifically in those cases in which it refers to subjects in situationsof marginality and exclusion. Overcoming the dichotomy representation - counter-representation, the article proposes to consider the potentialities offered by different resources such as irony, parody or satire, to confront dominant discourses and generate the conditions for the development of new representations. To do so, we consider the work of González himself, and two obligatoryreference texts, the Colombian film Agarrando pueblo (Ospina and Mayolo, 1977) and the Argentininian film Estrellas (León andMartínez, 2007). |
