To this end, it explores the possibilities of ex-votos—an immaterial promise materialized into an object—by pushing the boundaries established in Renaissance Art history. Emphasis is placed on its role as a connecting object—between the secular and the sacred—by employing actions that converge in autobiographical praxis, where the textual element takes on particular significance, leading to new realms of memory through drifting. El artículo resulta un resumen de mi trabajo de investigación en artes e intenta estrechar un puente entre distintas disciplinas artísticas, dibujo, arte textil, fotografía y tarjetería española, desandando las prácticas artísticas adquiridas por quien suscribe. A tal fin se exploran las posibilidades del exvoto –promesa inmaterial que se materializa en un objeto–, a partir del desborde de sus límites en cuanto dispositivo establecido en la Historia del arte renacentista. Se enfatiza su carácter de objeto conector –entre lo profano y lo sagrado– al poner en juego acciones que convergen en la praxis autobiográfica, en donde el elemento textural cobra especial preponderancia, al producir derivas que resultan nuevos espacios de memoria.
