| Sumario: | This work will approach the arrangement made and performed by Ernesto Méndez from the chamamé Refugio de Soñadores, which was composed by Nini Flores. It aims to detect guitar techniques used in it, to distinguish them between “academic” and “popular”, and to understand how they interact in the version. Through auditory and comparative analysis between versions, complemented with partial transcripts, we will see that Méndez uses a wide diversity of technical resources, without prioritizing those of any trend over the other. |
