It aims to detect guitar techniques used in it, to distinguish them between “academic” and “popular”, and to understand how they interact in the version. Through auditory and comparative analysis between versions, complemented with partial transcripts, we will see that Méndez uses a wide diversity of technical resources, without prioritizing those of any trend over the other. Este trabajo abordará el arreglo realizado e interpretado por Ernesto Méndez del chamamé Refugio de Soñadores, compuesto por Nini Flores. Tiene como objetivos detectar las técnicas guitarrísticas empleadas en él, distinguirlas en “académicas” y “populares”, y comprender cómo interactúan en la versión. Mediante análisis auditivos y comparativos entre versiones, complementados con transcripciones parciales, veremos que Méndez utiliza una amplia diversidad de recursos técnicos, sin priorizar los de alguna corriente por sobre la otra.
