description Organic fertilizers are considered as an alternative within the group of products used in sustainable agriculture. The objective of this research was to evaluate the effect of organic fertilizers on the bromatological composition of ryegrass (Lolium multiflorum) in the Pangua canton. The study was carried out in the Angamarca la Vieja farm in the Pilancón community, belonging to the Ramón Campaña parish of the Pangua canton, Cotopaxi province. The fertilizers used were (chicken manure and compost), the doses evaluated were 0,5 kg m2 and 1,0 kg m2, plus a control (without fertilizer). The research had a duration of 90 days for the establishment of the trial and experimental work. The evaluation of the data was carried out at two ages: at 15 and 30 days after the grass equalization cut.  A completely randomized block design (DBCA) was used with five treatments and four replications, with a total of 20 experimental units. The variables evaluated were: Moisture, Dry Matter, Protein, Ethereal Extract, Ash, Fiber and Nitrogen Free Elements. To conclude, the results of the bromatological composition evaluated on a wet and dry basis showed highly significant differences between treatments. With greater effect for protein and fiber for both the organic manure and compost at the dose of 1,0 kg m2. However, it showed variation in the contents of moisture, dry matter, fat and ash according to the age of evaluation of the pasture. While for the nitrogen free element, the highest values were found in the control treatment.
