Among the ex situ conservation actions, the genetic diversity currently stored in the Base Bank, the results of the evaluation of the longevity of the germplasm and the living collections and the field trials installed by the BNGP are made known. Among the circa situ and in situ conservation activities are described the Seed Producing Areas (SPAs) recently certified by INASE in Córdoba, at the request of the BNGP, for the provision of high quality forest seed. En este trabajo se presenta una síntesis de la actividad de conservación ex situ, circa situ e in situ realizada por el Banco Nacional de Germoplasma de Prosopis (BNGP) durante 34 años. Entre las acciones de conservación ex situ, se da a conocer la diversidad genética almacenada actualmente en el Banco Base, los resultados de la evaluación de la longevidad del germoplasma y las colecciones vivas y los ensayos a campo instalados por el BNGP. Entre las actividades de conservación circa situ e in situ se describen las Áreas Productoras de Semillas (APS) recientemente certificadas por INASE en Córdoba, a instancias del BNGP, para la provisión de semilla forestal de alta calidad.
