Sumario:The article analyzes the teaching of Political Economy at the University of Córdoba in the secondhalf of the 19th century, considering the possibilities of reading the novelties and the influence oftradition; the intellectual and cultural profile of their teachers; the texts designated for teaching, with special emphasis on the editions used; and the programs of the chair. Its purpose is to relatethe information from the archive and the historiographical work with a theoretical framework farfrom the idea of inaugural novelty when dealing with these lessons, more linked to the rereading, location and interests of legal elites.
