However, these paid special attention to the years of the return of democracy (1983-1989) and the economic and economic policy dimension that circulated in its ranks constitutes a variant less attended by social scientists. In this paper, we propose to analyze the debates of this nature contained in the audios recorded by the Club from the 1990s onwards. It is a scarcely explored material that recorded the discussions that took place at the invitation of leading speakers in economics and social sciences. It has been concluded that, despite the heterogeneity of economists and social scientists who participated contributing to the main economic issues of the time, not always affiliated to any political left, there was an important consensus on socioeconomic pillars linked to neoliberalism and a lack of original economic ideas rooted in the left as it was in previous decades.
