The guidelines of this newspaper constantly tends towards polemicization mainly with El Censor, directed by Antonio Valdés, and Gazeta de Buenos Ayres, directed by Julián Álvarez. Its publication is interrupted in February 1817 when its editor is sent back into exile.Understanding the periodical press as another political actor in the revolution of Independence and with the aim of achieving a greater comprehension of the newspaper La Crónica Argentina, in this paper we will seek to deepen the analysis of the reflections publicated by the editor, while studying the material aspects that underlaid its publication.  Este artículo estudia la incidencia de Vicente Pazos en la creación de la prensa política rioplatense. Con este propósito en mente, pondremos el foco en La Crónica Argentina, un periódico que comienza a imprimirse el 30 de agosto de 1816. Los lineamientos de esta publicación tienden constantemente hacia la polemización, principalmente con El Censor, dirigido por Antonio Valdés, y la Gazeta de Buenos Ayres, dirigido por Julián Álvarez. Su publicación es interrumpida en febrero de 1817 cuando el editor es enviado nuevamente al exilio.Entendiendo a la prensa periódica como un actor político más de la revolución de independencia y con el objetivo de alcanzar una mayor comprensión del periódico La Crónica Argentina, en este trabajo buscaremos profundizar el análisis de las reflexiones publicadas por el redactor, a la vez que atenderemos a los aspectos materiales que subyacieron a su publicación.
