Sumario:The purpose of this work is to explain the process of transference of the public lands in the Buenos Aires province which begins in 1852, after the fall of the governor Rosas. It includes, firstly, a reference of the policies that were taken on during the first half of the 19th century; secondly, it describes the changes produced in the 50 decade: in the begging with the revision of the preceding legislation because ofpolitical motifs, and then, with the establishment of the renting system which worked with a transitory character; and lastly, the acceleration of the transference of lands to private hand through the sale laws.
