The principle point of view lays on the woman's attitudes and actions towards male power. It is based on two judicial cases, that lawe reached the 'Real Audiencia', where the familiar conflict relates to a bigamy crime. Both judicial cases have feminine protagonists. After a brief account on the general characteristics of marriage in the colonial society. Both judicial expedients are explored and analyzed, to attempt a closed knowledge of the intricate relationships among, men, women, costumes, laws, practices and institutions within the familiar life when the colonial order is near the end.
