His ideas are related to other expressions of nationalism and Catholicism, indicating their resemblances and their peculiarities. Finally the paper tries to assess Carlés's place in the evolution of nationalist movement and Catholicism, and reconsider the League's social significance. Este trabajo se ocupa de bosquejar el Idearlo nacionalista católico de Manuel Carlés, figura destacada de la política argentina durante el período de entre- guerras y presidente de la Liga Patriótica Argentina. Sus ideas son puestas en relación con otras expresiones del nacionalismo y del catolicismo, señalando sus similitudes y sus peculiaridades. Por último, se intenta evaluar el lugar de Carlés en la evolución del movimiento nacionalista y del catolicismo y reconsiderar la significación social de laLiga.
