This article explores the role of the some actors belonging to the European immigration in the introduction and proliferation of agricultural technology, which made possible the development mentioned earlier. It is described here the development of the farming process and the expansion of the modern vineyard. In addition, a meaningful contradiction is shown, that one triggered by the viticulture development policy envisaged by prominent members of the mendocinean elite and the paths traversed by those who had to build the agricultural part of the new agro-industrial complex.
