Sumario:The aim of this article is to analyze the foundation, organization and functioning of Centro Azucarero Argentino, trade union founded at the end of the 19th century. This boarding will allow us to investigate the nature of the demands of the sugar manufacturers and the strategies deploied by these businessmen to affect in the public national power. Likewise, across the study of the association we will specify the instances of existing alliances between the manufacturers of sugar and the businessmen of the littoral.
