The study of punctual sectors of the administration in local spaces like that it us concerns, contributes to a deeper comprehension of the imperial organization and across her of the Ancient Régime in general. We focus our interest in the base structure of the Royal Finance in consideration of which up to the moment there are no studies that realize of this sector, which though it has been forgotten by the historiography, constituted a fundamental gear in the functioning of the fiscal device. Great part of the interest of this work resides in that it enters sectors occupied by persons who did not concern to the elite and on whose shoulders there was relapsing the first link of the fiscal collection. Con el presente trabajo encaramos el estudio de la organización administrativa imperial española a través del análisis de un sector de la Real Hacienda en un ámbito periférico como fue el de Salta. El estudio de sectores puntuales de la administración, contextualizado en espacios locales como el que nos atañe, contribuye a una comprensión más profunda de la organización imperial y a través de ella del Antiguo Régimen en general. Enfocamos nuestro interés en la estructura de base de la Real Hacienda en atención a que hasta el momento no hay estudios que den cuenta de este sector, que si bien ha sido olvidado por la historiografía, constituyó un engranaje fundamental en el funcionamiento del aparato fiscal. Gran parte del interés de este trabajo reside en que se adentra en sectores ocupados por personas que no pertenecían a la elite y sobre cuyos hombros recaía el primer eslabón de la recaudación fiscal.
