Hirschegger, Ivana Peronism education health Mendoza peronismo educación salud Mendoza One of the main goals of social welfare program powered by Peronism was to provide education and health service with greater territorial scope, to expand horizontally and to reach remote areas of the territories. Therefore, from an empirical study focuses on two southern departments such as San Rafael and Malargüe, our purpose is to investigate if these social services actually had to expand and benefit those remote areas, and the impact on the population, that is to say, in what measure the state policies managed to improve the sanitary and educational level of the same one. Una de las metas principales del programa de bienestar social propulsado por el peronismo fue brindar un servicio educativo y sanitario con mayor alcance territorial, que se expandiera horizontalmente y llegara a las zonas más apartadas de los territorios. Por lo tanto, a partir de un estudio empírico, focalizado en dos departamentos del sur de Mendoza como son San Rafael y Malargüe, nuestro propósito es investigar si estos servicios sociales llegaron realmente a expandirse y beneficiar aquellas zonas alejadas, y cuál fue el impacto sobre la población, es decir, en qué medida las políticas estatales lograron mejorar el nivel sanitario y educativo de la misma.
