Their main associations, demands and political strategies are described, as well as the links of solidarity that they built with other occupations and professions, and the impact of the Peronist phenomenon on previous traditions of struggle and organization. Special attention is paid to the identities that the shopkeepers used in different contexts when it came to promoting and defending their interests.
