In Argentina, the link between Socialism and Peronism has been frequently discussed, however scarce are the works addressing the relationship with the other big populist movement: the Yrigoyenist radicalism. In this article we propose to reconstruct how the Socialists interpreted that force. To do this, we will stop at four key moments: the early `90s, the turn of the century, the period following the arrival of Yrigoyen at the government and the end of the ‘20s. The paper concludes by considering the contrast between complex and changing Yrigoyenism characterizations and the most simplistic and static interpretation that, years later, the Socialism would draw about Peronism.
