This political objective of the democrats tucumanos did not turn out to be easy, while they should have faced to a new political provincial force - Defensa Provincial Bandera Blanca- that in the past belonged to its ranks, and that after the Revolution obtained the principal provincial spaces of power. Likewise, we try to understand the dynamics inside the PDNT, characterized by the scanty cohesion of his rows and the constant discords developed of the generational disagreements between his members. This internal conflict of PDNT joined the difficult linkages with national spheres, whether the party and the government, as a result of the structure of the coalition called the Concordance. Equally, the pragmatic game of the president Justo influenced the political dynamics of the province and was crucial to prevent the realization of the democratic plans. El presente trabajo tiene por objeto indagar acerca de las estrategias desplegadas por el Partido Demócrata Nacional de Tucumán (PDNT) en su cruzada por la intervención a la provincia durante los primeros años de la década de 1930. Este objetivo político de los demócratas tucumanos no les resultó fácil, en tanto debieron enfrentarse a una nueva fuerza política provincial -Defensa Provincial Bandera Blanca- que supo pertenecer en el pasado a sus filas, y que luego de la Revolución obtuvo los principales espacios de poder provinciales. Asimismo, intentamos comprender la dinámica intrapartidaria del PDNT, caracterizada por la escasa cohesión de sus filas y las constantes rencillas devenidas de las desavenencias generacionales entre sus integrantes. A esta conflictividad interna del PDNT se sumaron las dificultosas vinculaciones con las esferas nacionales, partidarias y gubernamentales, como consecuencia del armado político que caracterizó a la Concordancia. En igual proporción, el juego pragmático del presidente Justo influyó en la dinámica política de la provincia y resultó fundamental para impedir la concreción de los planes demócratas.
