This celebration took place acquired the oil exploitation in the framework of the new industrial policies of peronism, settling to Comodoro Rivadavia on a new status for the period of the so-called military Governor (1944-1955). From this historical juncture and  returning to contemporary approaches to the studies of populism, this article will show you that the new political entity that emerged with peronism litigated and politicized the past built by the liberal tradition, placing Peron in a top place in the history. En 1947, en el marco de los festejos de la denominada Fiesta Nacional del Petróleo, la figura del primer Director de Yacimientos Petrolíferos Fiscales General Enrique Mosconi fue ampliamente reivindicada. Dicha celebración daba cuenta del lugar que adquirió la explotación petrolífera en el marco de las nuevas políticas industriales del peronismo, que colocaban a Comodoro Rivadavia en un nuevo status durante el período de la denominada Gobernación Militar (1944-1955). A partir de esta coyuntura histórica y retomando los enfoques contemporáneos de los estudios del populismo, en este artículo mostraremos que el nuevo sujeto político que emergió con el peronismo litigó y politizó el pasado construido por la tradición liberal, colocando a Perón en un lugar superior de la historia.
