Sumario:The wine economy of Mendoza went through different situations between 1914 and 1922, some were critical, others with excessive optimism; but all of them with a strong political component. The end of half a century of conservative order loomed early in the period, and the radicalism meant hope and change. Various policies were designed for the wine industry by conservative governments that certainly looked restricted interests; Radicals, on the contrary, considered a matter of strict justice an income distribution among all actors. In this article our objective is to show the actions of both conservatives and radicals lencinists oriented to protect and prosper winemaking. We will also show the results of these policies and the behavior of private actors.
