The end of half a century of conservative order loomed early in the period, and the radicalism meant hope and change. Various policies were designed for the wine industry by conservative governments that certainly looked restricted interests; Radicals, on the contrary, considered a matter of strict justice an income distribution among all actors. In this article our objective is to show the actions of both conservatives and radicals lencinists oriented to protect and prosper winemaking. We will also show the results of these policies and the behavior of private actors.  Entre 1914 y 1922 la economía vitivinícola de Mendoza atravesó diversas situaciones, críticas unas, de desmesurado optimismo otras; todas con un fuerte componente político. El fin del medio siglo de orden conservador se vislumbraba a comienzos del período, y el radicalismo significaba esperanza y cambio. Los gobiernos conservadores diseñaron diversas políticas para el sector vitivinícola que contemplaban intereses ciertamente restringidos; los radicales buscarían, por el contrario, una distribución del ingreso entre todos los actores, cuestión que consideraban de estricta justicia. En este artículo nos planteamos como objetivo mostrar el accionar, tanto de conservadores como de radicales lencinistas, orientados según sus diseñadores a resguardar y hacer prosperar la vitivinicultura.
