Sumario:Social movements have their genesis in different circumstances that form them. The movement we intend to characterize is gestated at the imminent mining unique mountain range, in the province of La Rioja, with its snowy peaks throughout the year and supplies water to one of the most important productive regions as it is Bermejo Valley. The wealth of minerals that possesses this mountain system have been desired since the founding of the province. In the last years the multinationals have advanced exploitation through agreements that do not consider will of the people as the basis of public policy to be execute. In 2011 the province signed an agreement that legitimized open pit mining operation. The aim is analyze, through documentary and testimonial sources, how organized citizens manage to keep out labor gangs, mega-mining Canadian companies are moving up and sustain a cut permanent camp in the area that was intended to explore and exploit.
