Sumario:Recently, medieval European historiography has established the notion of rural elites. Despite the prolific production around them, few studies have focused on the specific characterization of their political action. Otherwise, for the Hispanic region it is necessary to emphasize the specificity of pechero’s political leaders. In this sense, the work’s main objective is to contribute to tributaries’ representatives characterization in Ávila, by studying the trajectories of prominent figures who had that role during the last decades of the fifteenth century and early years of the sixteenth century. Their demands around the problems of common terms’ usurpation and taxation show their important task for the class they represented.
