Otherwise, for the Hispanic region it is necessary to emphasize the specificity of pechero’s political leaders. In this sense, the work’s main objective is to contribute to tributaries’ representatives characterization in Ávila, by studying the trajectories of prominent figures who had that role during the last decades of the fifteenth century and early years of the sixteenth century. Their demands around the problems of common terms’ usurpation and taxation show their important task for the class they represented. De forma reciente se ha consolidado para el estudio de las comunidades rurales medievales la categoría de elites. Pese a la abundante producción en torno de las mismas, son pocos los trabajos que se han centrado en el estudio concreto de su actuación política. Por otro lado, consideramos que para el caso hispano es necesario remarcar la especificidad de los líderes políticos pecheros, actualmente desdibujados dentro de la amplia noción de elites rurales. En este sentido, la presente contribución tiene por objetivo aportar a la caracterización de los representantes pecheros en Ávila, a partir del seguimiento de la trayectoria de dos figuras destacadas de las décadas finales del siglo XV y principios del XVI. Sus demandas en torno de los problemas de usurpación de términos comunes y la fiscalidad, dan cuenta de la labor fundamental que desarrollan para el colectivo al que representan.
