This second-grade entity, whose projection is regional, was founded in the province of Cordoba in July of 1992 by a group of cooperatives with difficulties accessing to credits that decided to create this self-managed financial instance. Therefore, the aim of the institute was to satisfy the financial needs of partner entities through a capital fund and facilitate access to other national and international financial sources, for the development of mid and long term investment projects. El estudio se centra en un ejemplo de asociativismo inter-cooperativo: el Instituto de Financiamiento de Cooperativas de Servicios Públicos (IFICOSEP), cooperativa de cooperativas de carácter estrictamente financiero que organizó el crédito solidario en beneficio de su membrecía. Esta entidad de segundo grado, cuya proyección es regional, fue fundada en la provincia de Córdoba en julio de 1992 por un grupo de cooperativas con dificultades para acceder a créditos y que se propusieron crear esta instancia financiera autogestiva. Por lo tanto, el objetivo del instituto fue satisfacer las necesidades financieras de las entidades asociadas a través de un fondo de capital y facilitar el acceso a otras fuentes financieras nacionales e internacionales para el desarrollo de proyectos de inversión a mediano y largo plazo.
