From this point I pretend to glimpse how environmental socioecosystem transformations in Colorado River Delta led to the Cocopah community seek new livelihoods, as traditional were exhausted following the creation of irrigation districts the former wetlands. The work establishes three stages of social economy: ejido, communal / first generation of fishing cooperatives and cooperative within the neoliberal regime.
