In this way, in 2008, the India-Africa Forum Summit was established, the official platform for relations between India and the African continent and in 2018, in an official visit of the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, to Uganda, the Prime Minister enunciated the so-called 10 Guiding Principles for India-Africa Engagement (or the Kampala Principles). In view of the above, this work seeks to briefly analyze the presence of India in the African continent, considering the common history, cooperation, issues related to identity and its international projection, from a qualitative perspective, using the bibliographic review and the document consultation.
