Sumario:In a society that is constantly growing, with permanent changes, affected by the demand for construction that grows very rapidly accompanied by the development of new materials and construction systems producing an ever increasing occupation of the territory, architecture is, to a large extent, in charge of materializing and responding to its demands, with innovative proposals that not only satisfy a heterogeneous and diversified society, but also aim at sustainable development, committing itself to the environment.However, these aspects seem to be simple solutions for new buildings, but are more complex for existing heritage.Around the world there are large buildings that were abandoned for various economic, political, financial reasons, etc., and that today are in a state of abandonment, but with a condition of stability that would allow prolonging their life cycle.The following is the research project carried out at the Università degli Studi di Salerno - Italy, with the purpose of obtaining the double degree being this the final work of career, where the recovery of an existing and abandoned hotel in the province of Neuquén was deepened.
