| Sumario: | Based on the considerations made by Françoise Massardier-Kenney in her famous study Towards a Redefinition of Feminist Translation Practice (2022), we intend to discuss in this article how the recovery of Silvina Ocampo's work, especially her short story El vestido de terciopelo/O vestido de veludo (1959/2019), contributes to a feminist reading of her literary production and its respective translation into Brazilian Portuguese. To do so, we will revisit some studies about the author and her work in order to present a commented reading of the argument of the analyzed short story and also a critical reading of its translation, highlighting elements that, in our point of view, contribute to the reception of Silvina Ocampo's work in Brazil. |
