Recently —mostly due to some acts of gender inequity and violence, and the corresponding demands from women and sex/gender nonconforming communities— the convergence of these fields has been re-energised and has proved to be both necessary and potentially rich in the academic environment and, above all, in a wider sociopolitical and cultural scene. In this text, I will think about the relevance of bodies, polyphony, and emotions in translation processes and products that aim at the visibility, criticism, destabilisation, and reconstruction of sociocultural narratives related to women and sex/gender nonconforming outlaws. My remarks will be based on the recently published anthology titled Disidentes de género: la nueva generación (2018, 2019), as an example of a praxis fostered by the feminist and queer theorisation and politicization of translating action. Desde sus inicios en Canadá en la década de 1980, la traducción feminista ha ido incorporando preocupaciones teóricas y prácticas surgidas del desarrollo de los estudios sobre la traducción, las teorías y movimientos feministas, los estudios de género y la teoría queer. Recientemente —sobre todo a partir de algunas manifestaciones de la inequidad y la violencia de género, así como de las consecuentes demandas de las mujeres y de las comunidades sexogenéricamente diversas—, la convergencia de estas áreas ha renovado su ímpetu y ha mostrado ser necesaria y potencialmente fructífera en el ámbito académico y, sobre todo, en un horizonte sociopolítico y cultural más amplio. En este texto, haré una reflexión sobre la relevancia de los cuerpos, la polifonía y las emociones en procesos y resultados de traducción con propósitos de visibilización, crítica, desestabilización y reconstrucción de narrativas socioculturales que atañen a mujeres y personas sexogenéricamente diversas y disidentes.
