Sumario:The main purposes of this paper are to use Wikipedia hypertexts (Cardiac Anatomy) as the data source for the compilation of a Portuguese ↔ English ↔ Spanish comparable-cum-parallel corpus aimed at teaching and based on collaborative translation theories; to elaborate pedagogical-didactic tasks that stimulate the comprehension of instrumental competences with the use of multilingual corpora and ICT present in web 2.0 and 3.0; and to introduce a practical activity model with texts from the Wikipedia platform for Medicine processed with Sketch Engine® software. We have based our research on the concepts of Corpus-based Translation Pedagogy (Zanettin, 2002, 2014; Bernardini, 2004a, 2004b), promoting an empirical analysis of corpora and their effective use in tasks that stimulate the perception and incorporation of knowledge encompassed in the idea of competences (Hurtado Albir, 2005; Pacte, 2003). Besides, we focused on Terminology (Barros, 2004) to promote a demonstration of activity, as a model to be carried out in the classroom. The researchers/authors collected the data to be presented throughout this article so that students, following the same path, could recognize the terms and translations within the wiki and promote improvements in the hypertexts according to the corpus results in the classroom. We found that, when comparing compound terms extracted from the subcorpora, only three of them have no translations in the three languages, they are ‘orificio auriculoventricular’ and ‘impulso apical’, in Portuguese, and ‘sístole ventricular’, in Spanish. This phenomenon allows students to find a rich source of work for the search of correspondents to feed the Wikipedia platform, favoring future research and expanding their vocabulary using corpora.
