Publication count methods and keyword analysis (Grbić and Pöllabauer, 2008; Li, 2015; Martínez-Gómez, 2015) were applied to a corpus of 443 documents (articles, books, chapters, and doctoral dissertations) published between 1889 and 2018 to examined different productivity indicators: positioning within the disciplinary branch, evolution and distribution of production, main publication languages and thematic trends, most productive hubs, most common academic affiliations, and leading publication countries.
