Sumario:The present work is part of a research line started some years ago and where one of the main objectives is to analyze texts and make some theoretical considerations on the ways of translating and the different formats. Among these, we are interested in the musical format: the song. The topic will be approached from a descriptive, analytical, semiotic and didactic perspective and the problem of creative translation in Italian songs will be presented. For this, we will focus on the Italian handout where there is a corpus of Italian songs selected to be worked during this school year. From this analysis, and others referring to the textual formats of specialty, arose a translation model proper of the Chair and we are interested to put it to consideration among our colleagues. This paper will be based on the theoretical guidelines proposed from the linguistic perspective of Roman Jakobson (1975), who thinks that the sign can be translated in three different ways. We are also interested in Charles Peirce’s guidelines on creative translation (1987) and other authors who have dealt with the theoretical, practical and didactic approach to the translation of songs.
