Through the description of forms of non-verbal communication and interpersonal gestural interactions, produced among state agents of different hierarchical ranks, I analyze actions in key contexts where the state is produced and reaffirmed. The purpose is to delineate how in micro-interactions state officials are gestated and hierarchies are (re)produced, based on an ethnographic analysis of the dimensions and ways in which the state is presented in everyday life. In this way, the focus will be on the way in which corporealities and emotions are generated as part of the performances of the state. The study I propose should be considered in terms of a double interest: on the one hand, because of my place as an anthropologist, and on the other, because of my experience as an employee of a state agency.  En este ensayo reflexiono sobre los vínculos entre performance y estado en un evento propiciado por una secretaría de dependencia provincial en Santiago del Estero (Argentina). Mediante la descripción de formas de comunicación no verbal e interacciones gestuales interpersonales, producidas entre agentes estatales de distintos rangos jerárquicos, analizo acciones en contextos claves en donde el estado se produce y reafirma. El objetivo es delinear cómo en las microinteracciones se gestan funcionarios y se (re)producen jerarquías, a partir de un análisis etnográfico de las dimensiones y formas en que el estado se presenta en la vida cotidiana. De esta manera, la atención se centrará en el modo en que se gestan corporalidades y emociones como parte de las performances de estado.
