We refer to the way in which the idea of revolution was thought of at the end of Argentina's civil and military dictatorship, and the consolidation of the democratic political regime of government. In order to reconstruct this period, we turn especially to the figure of Horacio González, who constituted a privileged voice in the infinite conversation that was woven since the 1980s, in the form of the essay, and in the field of national and popular critical thought.  A lo largo de estas páginas, realizamos un ejercicio de reposición de un problema central de nuestra historia reciente. Hacemos referencia al modo en que se pensó la idea de revolución tras el fin de la dictadura cívico y militar argentina, y la consolidación del régimen político democrático de gobierno. Para reconstruir este período, recurrimos especialmente a la figura de Horacio González, que constituyó una voz privilegiada en la conversación infinita que se tejió desde la década de 1980, bajo la forma del ensayo, y en el campo del pensamiento crítico nacional y popular.
