Sumario:We will focus on the role of women and sexual dissidents in the Weimar Republic in Germany. We will select some artistic expressions of the moment -the songs of cabaret-, to analyze their suggestive lyrics. This cultural production is known as degenerate music ("Entartete Musik"), by Jewish German artists censored and exiled during the Third Reich. They were protest songs with social and sexual content that were born among the intellectuals, revealed in a cabaret atmosphere that parodyed and satirized the commercial fads and the social “weaknesses” (sexual, economic, political) of the moment through performances.
