Sumario:When we have to write for the first time—whether for the development of a scientific article, a thesis or dissertation, or even a research project—the task appears to us as almost impossible. We love this painting by Turner (p. 5), Snow Storm: Steam-Boat off a Harbour's Mouth, because it expresses that feeling of anguish we experience when facing this task, similar to that of a painter before a blank canvas. This painting depicts a ship in a storm where visibility is nearly impossible. The possibility of all the paths opening up before us presents itself as a distressing chaos. It is as if we were facing a storm that prevents us from seeing the path we must walk. What to write about? How to do it? Since we have all felt this sorrow at some point, the purpose of this text is to offer some tools that allow us to face the task of scientific writing.
