She is recognized for her poems, where she shapes her ideals and convictions, seeking to vindicate the feminist struggle. These can be taken to the present day to question the schemes of the patriarchal system and frame the struggle of feminism. He wrote Letany of Survival in 1978, but we can rethink it in our present age. The poem is part of his book The Black Unicorn, along with others that go in the same direction. It is important to note that Audre was doubly oppressed, being an African-American woman. This is because the patriarchal system oppresses and segregates everything that is not within the norm, since it is based on the logics of the capitalist system of domination. This is why feminism is not homogeneous, but rather is tinged with experiences and reflections of other women from diverse ethnic backgrounds.
