In order to come to an understanding of this thesis I shall make explicit some moments of Heidegger’s mediation on the origin of this process in occidental metaphysics, on modes of metaphysical letting things be as such and on the happening and epochal character of theses modes. I shall examine, next, the way by which, according to Heidegger, it would posible for man in the epoch of technology to overcome metaphysics and, as a consequence, the scientific-technological annihilation of the thing. Finaly, I shall show that way are dictated by requirements following out of an original ethics different from ethics of practical laws of the Kantian kind. Este trabajo trata en tesis de Heidegger que en la época de la tecnología en la que vivimos la aniquilación de la cosa se produce a través del proceso de su reducción a la representación. Con el fin de llegar a una comprensión de esta tesis, voy a hacer explícitos algunos momentos de la mediación de Heidegger sobre el origen de este proceso en la metafísica occidental, sobre los modos de dejar que las cosas metafísicas sean como tales y sobre el carácter actual y epocal de estos modos. Examinaré, a continuación, la manera en que, según Heidegger, sería posible para el hombre en la época de la tecnología superar la metafísica y, como consecuencia, la aniquilación científico-tecnológica de la cosa. Finalmente, demostraré que ese camino está dictado por los requisitos de una ética original diferente de la ética de las leyes prácticas del tipo kantiano.
