Sumario:Through a revise of oral history, the article collects the participation of catechists, deacons and pastoral agents, in the very process of emergence of the catechetical and diaconal movement, particularly in two of the communities of the upper Tojolobal area: San Miguel Chiptik and Lomantan. A historical reconstruction of the region is carried out with the purpose of understanding both the life history of the indigenous people and their communities, as well as their events in their social resistance in the Altos de Chiapas.
