Politics as understood by Hannah Arendt acquires an eminently existential character: grounded in the factum of human plurality, it contributes to postulating a plural ontological framework for feminist theorisation, and to rethink a public sphere understood as the recovery of the ‘being between’ (In Between) that ultimately shapes the world. Political space transcends utilitarian logic and is not identified with any specific place; it is a space of visibility and recognition between one and the other, without eliminating the differences that separate them. It allows them to acquire their own identity, as well as harbouring new manifestations of the political. This article looks specifically at the reflections on difference or otherness, in this case Jewish, and the virtualities that anti-essentialism in its theory of action offers for thinking about a feminist political praxis aligned with democratic principles and not based on gender binarism. Both issues are intimately related. We will begin with a brief approach to the ‘political fact’ as Arendt conceives it, and then investigate feminist debates on difference and political action. |

La política, tal y como la entiende Hannah Arendt, adquiere un carácter eminentemente existencial. Cimentada en el factum de la pluralidad humana, contribuye a postular un marco ontológico plural para la teorización feminista, y repensar una esfera pública entendida como la recuperación del “estar entre” (in between) que conforma en última instancia el mundo. El espacio político trasciende la lógica utilitaria y no se identifica con ningún lugar concreto, se trata de un espacio de visibilización y reconocimiento entre unos y otros, sin llegar a eliminar las diferencias que los separan, permite adquirir identidad propia, así como albergar nuevas manifestaciones de lo político. En este artículo se estudian específicamente las reflexiones en torno a la diferencia u otredad, en su caso judía, y las virtualidades que el antiesencialismo en su teoría de la acción ofrece para pensar una praxis política feminista alineada con los principios democráticos y no fundamentada en el binarismo de género. Ambas problemáticas están íntimamente relacionadas. Comenzaremos llevando a cabo una breve aproximación al “hecho político” tal y como Arendt lo concibe para a continuación indagar en los debates feministas en torno a la diferencia y la acción política. A política, tal como Hannah Arendt a entende, adquire um carácter eminentemente existencial. Fundamentada no factum da pluralidade humana, ajuda a postular um quadro ontológico plural para a teorização feminista e a repensar uma esfera pública entendida como a recuperação do “entre” que, em última análise, molda o mundo. O espaço político transcende a lógica utilitária e não se identifica com nenhum lugar específico; é um espaço de visibilidade e reconhecimento entre um e outro, sem eliminar as diferenças que os separam, permitindo-lhes adquirir a sua própria identidade, bem como albergar novas manifestações do político. Este artigo debruça-se especificamente sobre as reflexões sobre a diferença ou alteridade, neste caso judaica, e as virtualidades que o anti-essencialismo na sua teoria da ação oferece para pensar uma praxis política feminista alinhada com os princípios democráticos e não baseada no binarismo de género. Ambas as questões estão intimamente relacionadas.
