Campillo's analysis begins with the early Arendtian works, The Concept of Love in St. Augustine and Rahel Varnhagen, moving through The Human Condition, where love appears as an anti-political force and in tension with natality, and arrives at The Life of the Mind, where love only appears explicitly in relation to the Augustinian will. One of the most present sources, and central to Campillo's analysis, is the Denktagebuch, which serves as a guide to detect the counterpoints between the "love of the world" and the "love without the world" that underlie the "Arendtian phenomenology of love."

Existe un hilo oculto que atraviesa la obra arendtiana que se descubre en el recorrido que podemos tejer a partir del registro afectivo del amor. Según la tesis principal del libro El concepto de amor en Arendt de Campillo, allí encontramos el centro de gravedad que articula el pensamiento filosófico y la teoría política de la filósofa alemana. Campillo parte de la lectura de las obras de Arendt para realizar este recorrido, y pone su atención en el vínculo posible y problemático entre el mundo, la política y el amor. El hilo conductor del recorrido propuesto implica una reconstrucción de las tensiones que el concepto de amor supone, tal y como aparece en las fuentes. El análisis toma desde sus primeras obras de juventud, El concepto de amor en San Agustín y Rahel Varnhagen. La Vida de una Mujer Judía, pasa por La condición humana, donde el amor aparece como fuerza antipolítica y en tensión con la natalidad, y llega hasta La vida del espíritu, donde el amor solo aparece explícitamente en relación a la voluntad agustiniana. Una de las fuentes más presentes, y central en el análisis de Campillo, es el Diario filosófico, que hará las veces de guía para detectar los contrapuntos que nuestra autora nos brinda a la hora de pensar las relaciones y tensiones entre el “amor al mundo” y el “amor sin mundo” que fundan su “fenomenología del amor”. Há um fio escondido que percorre o trabalho de Arendt, que pode ser descoberto a partir do registro afetivo do amor. De acordo com a tese principal do livro de Campillo, El concepto de amor en Arendt, lá encontramos o centro de gravidade que articula o pensamento filosófico e a teoria política da filósofa alemã. A análise de Campillo começa com os primeiros trabalhos arendtianos, The Concept of Love in St. Augustine e Rahel Varnhagen, passando por A Condição Humana, onde o amor aparece como uma força anti-política e em tensão com a natalidade, e chega até A vida do espírito, onde o amor só aparece explicitamente em relação à vontade agostiniana. Uma das fontes mais presentes, e central na análise de Campillo, é o Denktagebuch, que serve de guia para detectar os contrapontos entre o "amor do mundo" e o "amor sem o mundo" que subjazem à "fenomenologia arendtiana do amor".
